Bruce Kabat Named Treasurer of the Rocky Mountain Association of Public Insurance Adjusters
Bruce Kabat, Chief Operating Officer of Adjusters International of Colorado, was recently elected Treasurer of the Rocky Mountain Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (RMAPIA). RMAPIA appointed new leadership on Nov 20, 2014, during the organization’s monthly educational meeting in Erie, Colorado.
The RMAPIA Board of Directors consists of regional leaders of the public adjusting profession who serve on a voluntary basis to guide the Association toward its goal of promoting the highest standards of conduct and professionalism in the field of public insurance adjusting.
Officers for 2015-2016 are:
- President – David E. Young, CPPA, SPPA, Brown – O’Haver Public Adjusters, Phoenix, Arizona
- First Vice President – Ron Harsch, CPPA, Claim Solutions Group, Denver, Colorado
- Second Vice President and Treasurer – Bruce Kabat, Adjusters International of Colorado, Golden, Colorado
- Third Vice President and Secretary – Gary D. Morris, Gary D. Morris & Associates, LLC, Denver, Colorado
Kabat, who has advocated for quality continuing education programs for public adjusters since joining the profession in 2002, was integral in organizing the November educational event which featured presentations from attorneys William “Corey” Harris and Brandee Bower of The Merlin Law Group. Attendees who completed the program earned educational credits as required by many states’ insurance departments.
Founded in 2013, the Rocky Mountain Association of Public Insurance Adjusters is comprised of public adjusters operating in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. All members are licensed by the various states’ Division of Insurance and are committed to working in the best interest of policyholders.
